BurnInTest from PassMark is a Windows utility that puts all the major hardware sub-systems of a computer to be simultaneously stressed to test the endurance, reliability and stability of the components just as it would work when running multiple applications and devices.

The program exercises heavily the hardware in a PC in a short period of time. This will bring out hidden problems in order to be fixed, so that only after a successful run the computer can be used with a high level of confidence.

BurnInTest is a software more for testers and administrators than for common PC users. The software is capable of verifying hardware components performance: anything from CPU stability at high clock speeds , hard drive data writing, to sound cards, and graphic cards.

Dozens of new features have been included. The following new features are the most important:

BurnInTest as of this version, can now test Turbo CPUs, and DDR3 RAM type tests are supported. The processor support list has been extended (including new cores from Intel). Furthermore Win 7 native video, HD and 3D video tests are now integrated.

This program definitively tests every piece of hardware on a computer, and is excellent for manufacturers or service repairs to rapidly test multiple machines under customized conditions.

I have an e6400. Have been trying to get the integrated webcam operating... no help from Dell. Have gone to other sources to find programs to work.. very little success. Seems like Dell doesn't support its installed products & programs. Also, have had problems w/ Dell about missing drivers. Did not get a Dell installation disk. Dell wants to charge for items that should have been installed w/ their product. Had to go on the internet to find drivers. If it is this difficult, I wouldn't recomend a Dell to anyone.
